Omada’s Software-Defined Networking (SDN) platform integrates network devices, including access points, switches, and routers. It provides 100% centralized cloud management and a highly scalable network controlled from a single interface. Seamless wireless and wired connections are provided, ideal for use in hospitality, education, retail, and offices.
In this example, we have:
2 Cloud access
2 Routers
2 Core SWs with LAG connection
3 Access SWs
OC300 wireless controller
1 Windows Domain controller, run as Radius server for Wi-Fi users authentication, DHCP and DNS server
Windows server and OC300 controller are connected to a switch which has 2 uplinks to core switches
Several APs
Each Access SW has 2 uplinks to core switches, one is primary, second one is backup, in case of main core SW failures, 2nd one will take over the uplink.
We can use OC300 to control all network devices and push the configuration as well. (make sure all routers, switches and APs are Omada’s SDN compatible TP-Link network devices)
So, what could we get from this solution?
We can control all devices and settings in a single place- on OC300 wireless controller, even via cloud.
There is no traditional Wi-Fi password that is shared among the users, instead we can create users account on our Active Directory server first, then users will be able to access Wi-Fi with their own account. This ensures we have a high security level, and are able to control access easily.
We are able to monitor our devices in the cluster, see how they work, and what the traffic conditions are in our system.
Enterprise level configurations and redundant design for core devices and backbones. minimal down time.
Highly customizable based on customers’ requirements.
